At plannt.ca, we’re a pretty new platform and we’re getting better every month. Check out the improvements we released in May 2023 to enhance our user experience.

Rapid Patch Definition

We understand that the initial setup of any garden plan is always a hurdle, especially if you’ve got a lot of space to work with. To take the pain out of planning (lnng?), we’ve added click and drag functionality to Patch Edit Mode to allow you to rapidly define your growing space. This feature is perfect for those who want to be able to quickly experiment with different layouts.

Crop Relocation

Sticking with the theme of clicking and dragging, we’ve also added drag-and-drop capability to crops! You can now move a base crop from one patch to another by simply clicking & dragging it over. Whether you’re pivoting from your initial plan or simply trying out new ideas, moving crops around in your garden has never been easier!

Intuitive Onboarding

We’re also excited to share that we’ve reimagined our onboarding experience to make it even easier for new users to get started. Our new onboarding flow is designed to take you through only the essential aspects of your account setup so that you can get up & running as soon as possible. The onboarding workflow also automatically pulls in your frost dates to save you the research!

Enhanced Cross-Browser Compatibility

We implemented some speed improvements to make the platform even more flexible and performant across all browsers and devices. You can use whichever device you prefer to access plannt.ca and know that you’ve got all the features you need to keep up with your growing season.

We hope these new features will make your garden planning experience even more enjoyable and productive. Please note that the click-drag features (rapid patch definition & crop relocation) are not available on touchscreen devices quite yet. As always, if you have any feedback or suggestions for future updates, we’d love to hear from you. We understand that using a new platform can be intimidating, and we’re hard at work generating features and tutorials that will support users through all stages of their garden planning journey.

Happy gardening!
