We’re pretty excited about our plannt.ca homepage makeover!

🎉 What’s Improved

1. Site Look & Speed: We’ve given our whole site a makeover! We are now showcasing gorgeous videos on the plannt.ca site that help convey the awe we feel watching our plants spring to life in the garden. As an added bonus, we’ve massively reduced the loading time of the site, so you can browse our pages, sign up, and log in way faster.

2. Pricing Page: We’ve had a few comments from website visitors that lead us to believe that our pricing page was not clear enough, so we updated it to make sure that our annual subscription cost or payment frequency cannot be misinterpreted.

3. Help Resources: We’ve added links to useful blog posts on our education site docs.plannt.ca to provide quick tips on how to perform each type of Task. Not sure how to start seeds indoors, or how to sow seeds outdoors? No worries! We’ve got you every step of the way.

🐛 What’s Fixed

1. Start Indoors Task Quantity: In our regular Task Reminder emails, our “Start Indoors” tasks used a seed quantity that was calculated based on the “seed spacing” specification, which could be confusing for users who set seed spacing directly from the packet. To fix this, we changed the task quantity to refer to plant counts, which makes it clear how many seedlings you need to start.

2. Account Setup Flow: We’ve closed a user experience gap with our Account page. Now that our onboarding process takes care of the majority of account setup, it could be surprising to users that they needed to finish populating their account data before they could activate their subscription. This has been corrected with a friendly warning message!

3. Patch Group Click-Drag: We’ve fixed a bug that allowed patches to be toggled off without removing their patch group label. This was a pretty low-stakes bug, but we won’t rest until our platform is perfect!

4. Login Expiry: Some users were noticing that they were being logged out from the app more frequently than expected. We have identified the root cause of this issue and implemented a fix to prevent it going forward. Bye bye, interruptions!

➡️ What’s Changed

1. Refund Policy: We’ve updated our member agreement to impose a stricter time limitation on our refund policy. We want our gardening community to be absolutely sure that our platform is right for them before purchasing, which is why we offer a risk-free 2-week free trial.

📣 What’s Coming Soon

1. Garden Plan: We’re planning to beat our 2023 food harvest record! We will be posting regular content on our progress with using plannt.ca to grow food. Follow us on our journey to catch some tips on how we use our homegrown food, and what insights we gather from our garden’s data.

2. Tidying: We’re probably never going to have nothing to do with our list of tweaks, enhancements, and obscure bugs. We can’t wait to continue using the platform and gathering feedback this year with a fresh cohort of gardeners.

That’s it for this month’s release notes! We hope you enjoy the new features and improvements. As always, we’re here to assist you if you have any questions or need any help.

Keep on growing!
