Security updates may not be flashy, but they’re important! This month, we rooted out vulnerabilities and made changes to ensure that we remain compliant with applicable privacy legislation.

🌟 What’s New

  • Cookie Consent Banner: To better protect the privacy of our site visitors, we’ve added convenient and unobtrusive cookie consent banners to our plannt.ca and docs.plannt.ca sites to allow users to decide whether they want to opt in to cookies that allow us to analyze our web traffic.

🎉 What’s Improved

  • Authorization Verification Everywhere: We updated functionality across the entire app to automatically redirect users to the login page if they attempt to make a change during an expired session (when their login has timed out). No more risk of unsaved changes!

🐛 What’s Fixed

  • Emails: We have identified and corrected an issue that was causing emails to fail to deliver to certain users. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
  • Patch Group Label Validation: We’ve updated the error display message for the patch group naming dialog on our Yard page to better explain which combination of characters can be entered into the text field.

📣 What’s Coming Soon

  • Yard vs Tasks: We’ve got something in the works to make task management even easier! Stay tuned to find out how you can take your garden task completion to the next level.
  • Minor tweaks & bug fixes: A gardener/developer’s work is never done. We’ve got a running list of little details that we want to take care of to help make our platform truly special.

That’s it for this month’s release notes! We hope you appreciate our efforts to continually enhance our level of security and compliance. As always, we’re here to assist you if you have any questions or need any help.

Keep on growing,

The plannt.ca Team 🌱
